Kate Cosentino, otherwise known as K8, uses her songwriting and singing talents to entertain and spark a melody in people’s hearts. Kate writes many of her own musical compositions. At only thirteen, Kate recorded eight of her original pieces to make her first album Too Many Love Songs. The album consists of eight love songs because, after all, you can never really have too many. Her first Video, Mister J can be seen on her YouTube page. Kate plays guitar, piano, and ukulele. She loves using her instrumental and vocal talents to create riveting music. A wide range of musical genres influences Kate’s style. Her music has overtones of jazz, folk, pop and alternative.
Kate frequently performs at restaurants, coffee houses and charitable events. She performed in Turandot, the first opera at the Kauffman Center of Performing arts. Kate’s charitable performances include the Italian Festival, the Plaza Art Fair, the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, the Marillac Enchanted Evening, the Viviano Variety Show and many more. Kate also loves to gig at places like the Uptown Arts Bar, Take Five Coffee Bar and Grinders Stonewall. Kate plans to continue to grow as a songwriter and performer with the help of her many supporters and fans.
